Our dogs are our family pets.  We do usually keep them in a large kennel area, to keep them safe and at home, though when we're outside we often let them run and play with us. These dogs are great with our four children. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our Malamutes.

We are trying to breed according to what we feel would be beneficial to the original purpose of the Alaskan Malamute, as a dog bred to pull heavy loads in extreme cold. Thus in our breeding stock we look for a short, broad muzzle, small furry ears, and heavy bone. We know most of our pups will end up as family pets, so a good temperament is important too!

We do have fun with our dogs! Kodi, our now retired male, has been trained to pull a child's wagon outfitted especially for him. He's been in one parade so far, and we hope to be in more! We've also hooked him to our sled, though it's a bit heavy for one dog to pull, even with just a child riding. Tundra will soon be fitted for a harness and joining him, and we're looking forward to the extra dog power!
